Glass blasting (only stainless steel)

Glass blasting (also called bead blasting or glass bead blasting) is also a very popular finish for stainless steel. It slightly increases the roughness value, making it less suitable for some applications. Ideal when it is important for a piece to make a first good impression.

This is often used for machine parts, casings and frames. Very similar finishes are obtained through ceramic bead blasting or by waterjet blasting.

Alinco has a glass blasting booth measuring 6x4 metres.

Glass blasting is a relatively inexpensive finishing process; at least if you can do it in fairly large volumes and in-house.
