Pickling and passivation

Pickling and passivation is still one of the better post-treatments for stainless steel, even though not the most aesthetically pleasing. Alinco has a proper pickling plant, used for both immersion pickling and spray pickling. The local pickling of only the welding seams, and electrolytic pickling are also among the possible treatment options. The pickling of very large pieces is subcontracted to our sister company Deprest, which has a pickling hall.

Pros:

• Very effective post-treatment
• Rather inexpensive

Cons:

• Not very aesthetic, even though it can be also      used for aesthetic applications with the necessary knowledge of the facts
