Alinco NV processes standard carbon steel type S235JR with a 2.2 certificate.
If a different type of steel (S355) or another sub-grade is required (J0 or J2), it should be clearly stated on the order/quotation request (indications on drawing are not sufficient). The same applies to the type of certificate (3.1). In these cases, one should factor in longer delivery times and/or a higher price.
Alinco keeps in stock as standard:
- DC01 for sheet thicknesses up to and incl. 3 mm. These are the typical cold-rolled steel sheets; even though these are not structural steels S235 or S355, the latter are not available for thin plates.
- S235JR Note: S235JR is only available from a sheet thickness of 2 mm; if a different grade is requested, e.g. S235J0, we will ask if we can suggest S355J2.
- S355J2 Note: S355J2 is only available from a sheet thickness of 3 mm; if a different grade is requested, e.g. S355JR, we will ask if we can suggest S355J2.
