Sheets and checker plates: blanks = AlMg3 aluminium= EN AW 5754 H111 or H22

The standard aluminium alloy that we use here is AlMg3 = EN AW 5754. Even though customers can specify other types of alloys, they do not attach such importance to selecting the type. We therefore suggest AlMg3 as standard.

H111 or H22 stands for the hardness; it goes without saying that we only work with pliable aluminium plates.

Characteristics:

  • Medium to high strength
  • Easy to weld
  • Good corrosion resistance in seawater environments

Exception: AlMg1 type aluminium alloy is used for pre-anodized aluminum sheets = EN AW 5005
