Plate rolling capabilities
- Quadruple-roll mill, maximum length 3000 mm; roll diameter 220/250, plates up to 10 mm in thickness.
- Triple-roll mill, maximum length 1500 mm; roll diameter 110, plates up to 3 mm in thickness.
- Triple-roll mill, maximum length 1000 mm; roll diameter 70, plates up to 2 mm in thickness.
- Triple-roll mill, maximum length 2000 mm; roll diameter 160, plates up to 4 mm in thickness.
- Triple-roll mill, maximum length 1000 mm; roll diameter 50
Plate rolling capabilities Deprest
- Triple-roll mill, maximum length 3000 mm; roll diameter 450, plates up to 40 mm in thickness.
- Triple-roll mill, maximum length 2500 mm; roll diameter 300, plates up to 20 mm in thickness.
- Triple-roll mill, maximum length 1270 mm; roll diameter 140, plates up to 4 mm in thickness.
General guideline: you can centre until the top roll diameter is increased by about 1/3. With the 250 diameter top roll, you can mill to +/- 330 mm. Furthermore, factors such as plate thickness and length also play a role; with a 250 diameter top roll and a thickness of 1.5 mm, you can reach a diameter of 300 mm.
Alternatively: segment pleats, folds or forms
There are other techniques to form a piece if it cannot go through the rolling mill. The most common is bending using segment pleating.
